A muse whispered the story of Botticelli’s masterpiece, but my paintbrush yearned to paint a different story.”The Birth of Venus” became “The Birth of Peace,” a composition we accomplished with the help of one of my models to find a fire within me to paint a world that longed for tranquility.

My canvas became a heavenly sea, a shimmering expanse of blues and greens where tranquility would emerge.Instead of a goddess of love, I imagined peace itself, a figure emerging from a shell, a metaphor for the world we struggle to heal.Oil paints, vibrant, icons of the modern world (fragments of pop culture and historical references) became my language for the composition.Bold hues danced with softer tones, echoing the clash and reconciliation that pave the way to peace and love, a figure with a soft glow, highlighting her delicate beauty amidst the chaos of the shell.

The space on the canvas of myths was transformed into a portal of hope.The composition, inspired by Botticelli’s harmony, remained a foundation, but I infused it with modern energy.The slightly contorted figure of this beautiful model of love and peace reflected a symbol of unity and rebirth.Yet the dynamic shapes swirled around her, reflecting the complexities of our world.
